Allentown Housing authority

Established in 1973, the Allentown Housing Authority is a Public Housing Agency (PHA) that oversees affordable housing programs and community development for the third largest city in Pennsylvania.

With 7 locations and over 1000 units, Allentown Housing Authority has continued to expand their operations throughout the years.

The Challenge

Faced with a constant evolution of work-flows and increasing tenant population, Allentown Housing Authority (AHA) began to rely more deeply on technology to efficiently manage their facilities. This gradual transition to a computerized environment resulted in a lack of standardization, communication, and data security across
the organization’s sites.

The remediation needed to resolve these issues required AHA Executive Director, Daniel Farrell, to engage with a 3rd party firm to develop a cost effective strategy that would bring the environment up to par. He was looking for a firm with experience serving the PHA vertical. That is when Mr. Farrell met with Infradapt.

The Approach

Infradapt started by understanding the operational business challenges faced by AHA and discovered that enhanced communication, cross-site connectivity, and additional technical support would improve their efficiency and workflow. They then performed a network and business discovery and designed a customized solution that met AHA’s present needs while preparing for future expansion.

The solution included a cloud-hosted environment, off-site backups, 24/7 support for industry-specific software, and more. AHA’s Executive Director, Daniel Farrell, was impressed with Infradapt’s solution and proactive support, which have helped AHA achieve its technology goals and improve the quality of life for its tenants.

The Benefits

Allentown Housing Authority chose to partner with Infradapt because of the value it provided to the facilities with an entirely updated infrastructure, solution design, implementation and support. While the proposed services provided an easy number to budget around, the authority’s administration could rest assured that there was time and attention taken by all levels of Infradapt’s staff to help them take control of their technology environment, and plan its future impact on operations.

While Allentown Housing Authority encountered multiple providers, none took the time to deeply understand how technology impacted operations, or even had the ability to truly tailor a cloud solution to meet their needs. “Infradapt helped provide our administration with fully managed technology solutions. Their support desk is responsive, and they resolve our issues with ease.“
