Switch to the Cloud Offers Greater Flexibility and Security at a Lower Cost
Philadelphia, PA—[January, 15 2012]—Infradapt, LLC. a leading provider of communications and network infrastructure solutions, announced today that it has been retained by Lower Gwynedd-based steel plate specialists Chapel Steel to implement Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, allowing the company greater control over critical data, with the additional benefit of easier manageability at a lower cost.
Chapel Steel is a steel plate distributor and service center with headquarters in suburban Philadelphia, and five additional offices in the United States and Canada. The company has been using IT infrastructure expertise from Infradapt for more than 10 years, including it Terminal Server infrastructure which allowed the company to achieve greater control over critical data. Over time the approach required the company to buy more bandwidth, invest in more hardware, and grow its data center to serve remote locations around the U.S.
Infradapt demonstrated to Chapel Steel the capabilities of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). Infradapt outlined the value of deploying resources from an existing private cloud architecture rather than expanding the existing headquarters infrastructure or building a data center. This approach allowed Chapel Steel to upgrade to the latest software solution and achieve greater performance, increased desktop customization as well as more, security, and control; for a lower cost than the pre-existing alternative.
